Being effective means
getting the right things done
Sustained management development

A group-wide Management Development Programme delivered by this third sector, globally renowned brand sought to engage authentic coaching support for the Cornwall based arm of the organisation. The task being to facilitate the transfer of new learning from the programme into the workplace for short and long term benefit.

Building on an already established business relationship, integratedperformance designed a necessarily short and financially feasible coaching programme in collaboration with our client. It focused on two prime outcomes for the attending senior managers:

1. To identify their individual development priority actions and commit to immediate and purposeful implementation.

2. To gain some understanding of basic coaching techniques which in the future, without the advantage of close support from a qualified coach, they could apply with confidence to continue the process of gaining personal and organisational value from self-determined new learning.

An initial action learning workshop comprised building a basic understanding of what coaching is and what it isn’t, including the application of a simple, yet powerfully effective coaching model.

Thereafter, each Manager engaged in several executive one-to-one coaching sessions with their integratedperformance coach to explore their learning priorities and commit to purposeful action. A review of progress and fresh goal setting with each of their Directors was an integral stage of the programme.

In closing the programme, the Directors accepted our invitation to share potentially valuable organisational feedback learned during the course of our interventions. Full anonymity and confidentiality from the coaching conversations was of course maintained in these discussions.

The Directors emphasised the benefits generated by coaching in the Managers. Most notably, they cited a clear commitment to more effective communication up, across and down through the whole organsational structure; a fresh eagerness for team oriented working and greater individual self-confidence. All of which were confirmed as making a rapid positive impact on realising challenging organisational aspirations.
